Key Responsibilities The post holder provides professional, operational and clinical leadership across Theatre, Endoscopy, Day Surgery Ward and Outpatients, ensuring safe, effective, responsive and patient-centred care. The Matron leads the Heads of Department, maintains oversight of rotas, staffing, workforce deployment, clinical governance, patient safety, quality improvement, internal CQC standards and inspection readiness. Acts as the site clinical lead for patient flow, utilisation, productivity and cancellations, escalating risks and performance matters at Corporate level.
