Maths Teacher

Veritas Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and well-regarded secondary school in Kirklees to recruit a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced practitioners and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) seeking a supportive and dynamic environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable), fostering a positive and engaging learning environment that supports all learners in achieving their full potential.

• Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, using data to inform teaching practice
• Create a positive classroom environment that promotes behaviour for learning
• Support students of varying abilities, including those with SEND and EAL
• Contribute to the wider school community, including departmental planning and extracurricular activities
• Uphold safeguarding and promote the welfare of all students in line with DfE guidance

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Experience teaching Maths at secondary school level (KS3 & KS4 essential)
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Maths education
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• A commitment to raising standards and improving outcomes for all students
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
