Tradewind Recruitment is working with a well-regarded secondary school in Derby to recruit a full time Maths Teacher for a maternity cover starting after October half term 2026. This role will involve teaching Key Stages 3 and 4, full time, and is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and inclusive school community. The Role - Maths Teacher (Mainly KS3 with KS4) As an Maths Teacher, you will: Deliver engaging and well-planned Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4 Follow established schemes of work while bringing creativity to lessons Assess, track and support pupil progress effectively Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement and literacy Contribute positively to the Maths department and wider school ethos Contract and Salary Details Start date: After October half term 2026 (maternity cover) Working pattern: full time Key Stages: KS3 and KS4 £180 - £235 per day Qualifications and Person Specification The successful candidate will: Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification Have experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4 Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for Maths Be organised, adaptable and committed to high-quality teaching Have strong classroom management and communication skills Be committed to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing A welcoming and respectful school culture Positive relationships between ..... full job details .....
