About the Role
Weandrsquo;re currently working with a well-regarded secondary school near Sholing, Southampton, who are looking to appoint a Maths Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term role with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right person.
Youandrsquo;ll be teaching Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4, within a forward-thinking and supportive department. Whether you''re an experienced teacher or an ECT, if you''re passionate about helping students succeed in Maths, weandrsquo;d love to hear from you.
What Youandrsquo;ll Be Doing
- Teaching Maths to students in KS3 and KS4
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Supporting students of varying abilities to build confidence in Maths
- Working closely with colleagues to share ideas and resources
- Contributing to school life beyond the classroom andndash; trips, clubs, or other enrichment activities

This is a mixed secondary academy for students aged 11andndash;16, with a strong reputation in the local area for both academic performance and pastoral care. The leadership team is supportive, the Maths department is well-organised, and thereandrsquo;s a real focus on collaboration and continuous improvement. Staff are encouraged to develop their practice through regular CPD and career development opportunities.
What Youandrsquo;ll Need
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in the UK
- Experience teaching Maths to KS3 and KS4 (placements or previous roles)
- A confident classroom presence and good behaviour management
- A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to contribute to school life
- ECTs and experienced teachers are both encouraged to apply
