Opportunity Overview:
Supply Desk is partnering with a well-regarded secondary school in Portsmouth to recruit a committed and passionate Maths Teacher. This full-time position begins in September 2025 and will run until December 2025, with the possibility of a permanent contract for the right candidate.
The successful applicant will teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4, joining a collaborative and supportive maths department. Both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators are encouraged to apply. Applications from unqualified teachers with relevant secondary maths teaching experience may also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, well-structured Maths lessons aligned with the national curriculum
Differentiate teaching to support learners of all abilities
Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback
Contribute to departmental planning and school-wide initiatives
Create a positive classroom culture with high expectations for all
Support enrichment opportunities in numeracy where possible
