Maths Teacher - Secondary School (Southampton) - September Start

Prospero Teaching are working with a well-regarded Secondary School in Southampton who are looking to appoint a Maths Teacher from September. You will be joining a supportive and experienced department, with a strong focus on high-quality teaching, student progress, and positive behaviour across the school.

The school is particularly interested in teachers who can deliver engaging Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the ability to support a range of abilities and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

As a Maths Teacher at the school, you will play a key role in delivering structured and engaging lessons, supporting student attainment, and contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Contract Details

Location - Southampton
Position - Maths Teacher
Type of work - Key Stage 3 and 4 Maths
Start date - September
Contract type - Temp to Perm (potential for permanent)
Full time/part time - Full time
Minimum rate of pay - -32,000 - -51,000 depending on experience (paid to scale)
Hours - 8:30 am - 4:00 pm, plus parent''s evenings

Experience, Training and Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent
• Experience teaching Maths in a UK Secondary School
• Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
• Up to date Safeguarding training (within the last year desirable)

Eligibility

• Right to Work in the UK
• Enhanced child barred list DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
• Two professional child-related references
