An exciting opportunity has become available for a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join a successful and supportive secondary school in High Wycombe. We are looking for a teacher who is not only passionate about Mathematics but also fully capable of delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality Maths lessons that challenge and support students at all levels. A key part of this role is delivering KS5 (A-Level) content, ensuring students are well-prepared for examinations and future academic pathways.
About the Role:
- Design and deliver engaging, high-quality Maths lessons tailored to a diverse range of student abilities.
- Assess, monitor, and evaluate student progress to inform teaching and support improvement.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and high expectations.
- Inspire student participation, creativity, and independence in their learning journey.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies and share best practices.
- Provide academic support and guidance to help students achieve their full potential.
The ideal candidate will:
- A qualified Maths Teacher (QTS or equivalent); however, passionate unqualified candidates with strong teaching potential are also encouraged to apply.
- Proven experience teaching Maths across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- A genuine enthusiasm for Mathematics and a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential.
- Strong classroom management skills to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A collaborative team player who contributes positively to departmental goals.
- A proactive, flexible, and adaptable approach to teaching and learning.
