  1. Leadership and Management

Required Qualifications and Experience
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).

  • Substantial experience teaching maths across multiple key stages.

  • Proven track record of strong pupil outcomes.

  • Prior experience in middle leadership (e.g. Second in Department or Key Stage Coordinator) is usually expected.

Desirable Skills
  • Leadership and strategic planning.

  • Ability to mentor and coach staff.

  • Strong data literacy and understanding of assessment.

  • Confidence with school management software (e.g., SIMS, Arbor).

  • Experience with whole-school initiatives (numeracy, CPD delivery, etc.).

Salary
  • In London, pay typically ranges from £50,(Apply online only) to £65,(Apply online only), depending on the school, experience, and whether it''s an Inner, Outer, or Fringe London location.

  • This includes a TLR (Teaching and Learning Responsibility) payment, usually TLR1, which reflects the higher level of responsibility.
