GSL Education are currently seeking a passionate and resilient Maths Teacher to work within a alternative setting in Hull. This is a unique opportunity to support students who require a more tailored and nurturing approach to education, helping them to re-engage and achieve meaningful outcomes in mathematics.

This role is ideal for a teacher who thrives in a supportive, relationship-focused environment and is confident in working with students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours.

• Specialist provision supporting students with SEMH and additional needs
• Focus on re-engagement, personalised learning, and positive progression

• Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet a wide range of learning needs
• Support students in overcoming barriers to learning
• Use creative and practical approaches to increase engagement in Maths
• Monitor progress and provide feedback in line with school expectations
• Work collaboratively with support staff and external agencies

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4
• Strong behaviour management skills and resilience
• Experience working with SEMH, Alternative Provision, or challenging behaviour (desirable)
• Ability to build positive relationships and inspire learners
• A flexible and proactive approach to teaching
