The Role

The school is seeking a committed and inspiring Mathematics Teacher who will:

  • Teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 to 5, including GCSE and A-Level

  • Deliver engaging, challenging lessons that stretch the most able while supporting all learners

  • Contribute to curriculum development, departmental planning, and resource sharing

  • Play an active role in Maths enrichment, including UKMT challenges, Olympiad preparation, and clubs

  • Uphold the school’s values of excellence, integrity, and pastoral care

  • Participate fully in the wider life of the school, including form tutoring and co-curricular activities

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a strong academic degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject

  • Possess QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification (PGCE/PGDE or appropriate international training)

  • Have experience teaching Mathematics up to A-Level, preferably within a high-achieving or independent setting

  • Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge, strong classroom presence, and an ability to inspire a love of learning

  • Be a team player who enjoys collaborative planning and professional dialogue

  • Show a genuine interest in pastoral care and the full breadth of independent school life
