Materials/ Stores/ Yard Operative with Counterbalance

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Materials (Stores) and Yard Operative with Counterbalance Forklift (preferred) to join a well-established and reputable organisation.This is a hands-on, varied role supporting the smooth running of a busy yard and stores environment. The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring materials, machinery, and stock are handled safely, efficiently, and in line with site procedures.This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to take ownership of their role, contribute ideas, and develop their skills within a supportive and growing team.Key ResponsibilitiesUnloading lorries and receiving deliveriesChecking in machinery and equipment on arrivalOperating a counterbalance forklift to move materials, parts, and machineryAssisting with telehandler and plant movement where requiredManaging stores, stock control, and organising materials efficientlyMaintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised yard and depotSupporting general yard duties and site housekeepingMonitoring consumables and reporting requirements to the SupervisorManaging waste disposal in line with site proceduresEnsuring health and safety standards are always followedActing as the "eyes and ears" of site safety, standards, and complianceSupporting continuous improvement of yard and stores processesRequirements Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (preferred)Full UK Driving Licence (preferred)Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, stores, or similar ..... full job details .....
