      <description>Location: Billingham | Salary: &amp;pound;33000 - &amp;pound;37000/annum | Type: Temporary | The key focus of the Materials Planner role is to forecast material needs, manage inventory, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production targets, while optimising the supply chain and minimising costs.    Client Details   This opportunity is with a well-established organisation within the FMCG industry. Operating as part of a medium-sized team, the company is known for its efficient supply chain operations and commitment to delivering high-quality products to its customers.   Description   The key responsibilities for the Materials Planner role are:   Create and maintain purchase orders in line with MRP (raise new, expedite, defer, cancel) for site direct and indirect materials.   Escalate through Supply Chain Management on critical delays / issues, and then final escalation through Procurement.   Define SKUs as ABC and calculate appropriate safety stock levels (considering SLOB / NWC / warehouse space).   Control inventory levels (management of SLOB, extension of shelf life etc.).
