Materials Manager

A global manufacturing engineering business requires a Materials Manager to join its Supply Chain function. The Materials Manager will be responsible for linking inventory control and production efficiency, managing a stores team and acting as an SAP subject matter expert across the Supply Chain function. This is an excellent opportunity for a materials, inventory or supply chain specialist to make a significant impact on operational performance, inventory optimisation and material availability, whilst developing their leadership capability within a highly collaborative environment. Specific duties of the Materials Manager include:Manage, train and motivate the Stores function ensuring accurate inventory control, replenishment and effective storageEnsure availability of materials and components to support manufacturing requirementsMonitor and maintain inventory records in SAPIdentify opportunities for inventory optimisation and continuous improvement across materials and storesTrack and report on KPIs in relation to; inventory accuracy, material availability, release times and operational efficienciesServe as an SAP subject matter expert across materials and stores - managing transactions, troubleshooting and ensuring data accuracyBuild strong relationships with stakeholders across; Supply Chain, Procurement, Production and Logistics Materials Management applicants should meet the following criteria:Previous experience in; materials management, inventory management, stores ..... full job details .....
