Materials Information Coordinator

We are looking for a Materials Information Coordinator to join our team at Special Steels Ltd in Sheffield. Originally established in 1925, we are the UK''s largest independent Nadcap-accredited heat treatment company, operating over 50 furnaces to process everything from engineering-grade materials to advanced superalloys. Complementing this is our full supply division, which specializes in low-alloy grades. We are looking to grow our vital technical team the crucial link in aligning our extensive plant capabilities with our customers'' precise expectations and high standards. The Role Data Extraction: Review customer purchase orders to accurately extract and transfer critical production variables including quantities, product forms, dimensions, material grades, and unique identifications into our bespoke software system. Technical Process Configuration: Review customer purchase orders, technical documentation and historic data to calculate precise heat treatment parameters including temperatures, cycle times, and quench media and accurately program these into our bespoke software. Requirement Clarification and Communication: Proactively contact customers to resolve any ambiguities, missing data, or discrepancies in their purchase orders, ensuring all processing requirements are fully clarified before work begins.
