Materials Handler

Our client, a well known manufacturing business in the West Yorkshire region is recruiting for a Materials Handler. This is a varied, hands-on role where you will play an important part in keeping materials, components and finished products moving safely and efficiently throughout the site.Working across different areas of the operation, you will use FLT and overhead crane equipment to support production, stores, dispatch and other departments on a day-to-day basis. We are looking for someone who is safety-conscious, reliable and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where priorities can change throughout the day.As a Materials Handler, your duties will include: Operating Forklift Trucks (FLT) safely to move, load, unload and position materials across the manufacturing site.Operating overhead cranes and lifting equipment to safely handle materials and components.Delivering raw materials and components to production areas in line with operational requirements.Moving finished and semi-finished products between manufacturing, storage and dispatch areas.Loading and unloading vehicles and checking incoming and outgoing materials where required.Supporting production, stores, warehouse, goods-in and dispatch teams with day-to-day material movements.Ensuring materials are stored safely, securely and in the correct designated locations.Responding to material requests from different areas of the business and helping to keep production running ..... full job details .....
