The Role

Working closely with the Site Management team, you will be responsible for reviewing the materials schedules and putting together the required items for each individual plot, ensuring materials are available and ready when needed.

Key materials will include:

  • Ensure doors, linings, balustrades, skirting, architrave and associated materials are correctly matched to each plot.
  • Check materials against schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Organise and label materials ready for delivery to individual plots.
  • Monitor stock levels and highlight shortages or missing materials.

  • Maintain an organised and efficient materials storage area.
  • Ensure materials are handled and stored safely.
  • Help minimise material shortages, waste and delays to the build programme.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a Materials Controller, Materials Coordinator, Stores or Site Logistics role.
  • Experience working within a residential construction environment.
  • Good knowledge of construction materials and finishing products.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work methodically.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work independently.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with the site team.

This role would suit someone who is organised, practical and detail-focused, with a good understanding of how materials need to be prepared and coordinated to keep a residential development moving efficiently.
