Materials Controller

SF Recruitment are exclusively partnering with their South Derbyshire-based client to recruit a Materials Controller on a permanent basis. This is an office based role paying £35,000. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced materials, inventory, or supply chain professional to join a growing manufacturing business and play a key role in ensuring the efficient planning, control, and flow of materials across the organisation. The Materials Controller will be responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels, supporting production requirements, and ensuring materials are available when needed whilst balancing stock investment and operational efficiency. This role will also take ownership of developing and continuously improving material planning processes, inventory controls, and reporting systems, while supporting ongoing enhancements to SAP and MRP capabilities. Key Responsibilities -Manage and maintain the MRP system to ensure materials and components are available to meet production schedules and customer demand. -Plan, monitor, and control inventory levels, balancing material availability with stock investment, waste reduction, and obsolescence management. -Raise, manage, and track purchase orders, monitor supplier performance, and proactively resolve material shortages or delivery delays. -Develop accurate material forecasts based on production plans, sales demand, and operational requirements. -Maintain accurate stock records and support stock control ..... full job details .....
