As the Materials Controller your responsibilities are to manage stock, materials and purchasing activities to ensure production has the right materials available at the right time. Key Responsibilities for the Materials Controller: Manage goods-in, storage, picking, kitting and issuing of materials. Maintain accurate stock levels and carry out regular stock checks. Raise and manage purchase orders. Chase outstanding orders and liaise with suppliers on lead times and deliveries. Identify and resolve material shortages or supplier issues. Work closely with Production to prioritise urgent material requirements. Ensure materials meet quality and specification requirements. Support the management of non-conforming materials. Maintain accurate materials and supplier records. Support improvements to stores and purchasing processes.
