Materials ControllerLocation: LeedsSalary: £29,345Hours: Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week (Flexible start and finish times)The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Materials Controller to join a busy maintenance and engineering operation in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual with a background in materials control, logistics, stores, or supply chain operations.Working within the Stores team, you will play a key role in ensuring materials and components are received, controlled, stored and distributed efficiently to support operational requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging goods inwards and ensuring materials are stored correctly and accurately.Raising requisitions and purchase orders.Preparing materials for shipment and overhaul.Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently.Issuing materials to operational teams.Carrying out stock counts and inventory control activities.Monitoring material usage and stock levels.Expediting orders and liaising with suppliers where required.Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards to promote efficiency and safety.Working closely with stores and operational teams to ensure material availability.Following company procedures and maintaining accurate records.About YouStrong understanding of materials control, stock management and purchasing processes.Experience processing purchase orders and managing inventory.Excellent planning and organisational skills.Strong communication ..... full job details .....
