Responsibilities
Receive materials, plant hire and ensure storage is secureReconcile quantities with supervisors and vendorsAdhere to Quality management systems and ensure appropriate document controlAssist in arrangement for provision of transport, and to ensure prompt action requestsPhysical Inventory Control and verification on the usage of the materialPropose and dispose surplus/ scrap material at facility location as per Company proceduresPrepare, monitor and update Material Tracking ScheduleClosely work with Planning Engineer to ensure materials are available as per the planCoordinate with Material Engineer and Procurement Department for providing details for Material Submittal to obtain Client approvalPlanning with Procurement Department to minimise the inventory as agreed with Project Manager and prepare Monthly Materials ReportsExpedite with Supplier for prompt deliveryMonitor the Stores function and StorekeepersRegularly update the Quantity Surveyor on the materials required to complete the ProjectTo ensure correct quantity and cost are debited to the items in CCS/SAP systemTo accurately back charge subcontractors and suppliersTo ensure correct data is provided to Commercial Dept. for calculation of quantity and cost to complete budget itemsExperience
Previous experience in stores or logistics, ideally in construction industryPrevious supervisory skills desirableSkills
