Materials Controller

We''re working with a forward-thinking manufacturing business looking to appoint a Materials Controller - a pivotal role at the heart of their operations team.
Reporting to the Logistics & Materials Manager, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid materials management experience and a passion for process improvement. You''ll be instrumental in ensuring materials are in place to meet production schedules, supporting the delivery of the wider Group Corporate Plan.
The Role
As Materials Controller, you''ll collaborate across planning, procurement, design, production and logistics teams to ensure seamless material flow through the business. Responsibilities include:
. Calling off stock in line with forecast and demand
. Scheduling materials based on design and production requirements
. Raising and expediting purchase orders
. Managing real-time stock transactions via ERP systems
. Monitoring and investigating production works orders and BOMs
. Producing and analysing departmental KPIs in Excel
. Supporting stock accuracy through cycle counts and full stock takes
. Driving process improvements and ensuring SLA performance
What We''re Looking For
_ Experience in a manufacturing or construction environment (preferred)
_ Strong understanding of MRP and stock control systems
_ Excel proficiency and strong data handling skills
_ Able to prioritise, communicate clearly, and stay organised
_ Confident managing budgets and performance reporting
