Junior Materials Chemist - Polymers and Composites Location: Lincolnshire (North) Salary: Up to 35,000 (depending on experience)About the Company Our client is an innovative materials business developing next-generation composites and polymers with applications across packaging, sustainability, and aerospace. With a strong focus on research, development, and sustainable innovation, they are now looking to expand their RandD team with a Junior Chemist who is eager to contribute to cutting-edge projects in advanced materials. The Role This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and ambitious chemist to join the RandD function. Working closely with experienced scientists and engineers, you will contribute to the development of novel polymer and composite materials, supporting both laboratory-scale trials and applied industrial projects. Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the formulation, testing, and characterisation of polymer and composite materials.Support innovation projects with a focus on packaging sustainability and aerospace applications.Conduct laboratory experiments, interpret results, and contribute to technical reporting.Collaborate with senior scientists on scaling up promising formulations from lab to pilot production.Maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.Engage in continuous learning and development, with training provided where required.
