Material Planner / Buyer

Escape Recruitment is looking for a proactive Materials Planner / Buyer to join a growing manufacturing business investing in a new production facility.Working as part of a great Supply Chain team, you will play an important role in ensuring materials are available to meet production requirements. This is a hands-on role covering purchasing, supplier expediting and materials planning, with a focus on keeping orders on track and production running smoothly.Key responsibilities:Raising purchase orders and ensuring materials are ordered on time.Chasing suppliers and expediting deliveries to avoid production delays.Monitoring stock levels, material availability and outstanding orders.Resolving supplier issues and keeping MRP/ERP system data accurate.Working closely with Production, Planning and suppliers to meet business requirements.Supporting inventory control and identifying potential supply issues.Knowledge and experience required for the role:Experience in purchasing, materials planning or a similar supply chain role, ideally within manufacturing - other industries will be considered.Confident raising POs, chasing deliveries and dealing with suppliers.Familiar with MRP/ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.Organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities.A good communicator with a practical, solutions-focused approach.Why Apply?An opportunity to join a growing manufacturing business, support its expanding production operation and develop your skills across purchasing ..... full job details .....
