Material Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Materials Operations Manager in North Devon with a global aerospace manufacturing organisation , to lead all internal materials, logistics, inventory and production scheduling activities across a busy manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring maximum adherence to the Master Production Schedule (MPS), optimising material flow, maintaining inventory accuracy and driving operational performance. This position will lead materials planning and execution activities, working closely with operations, supply chain and planning teams to ensure customer demand is met efficiently and effectively. Key Responsibilities of the Materials Operations Manager Manage short-term production scheduling in line with Sales and Operations Execution (SandOE) and the Master Production Schedule (MPS). Ensure inventory accuracy through robust cycle counting and inventory control processes. Oversee the movement, storage, receipt and distribution of materials throughout the facility. Manage all site logistics and transportation activities. Drive efficient material flow and inventory transactions to support manufacturing operations using lean principles. Monitor and execute production schedules, ensuring alignment with network planning requirements. Escalate material availability concerns and supply issues to relevant planning and supply chain teams.
