About the Role
As a Material Handler based in Morecambe, you will join Manpower UK on a temporary contract, earning up to £13.20 per hour. Working Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:00, your primary duties involve picking UK and export shipments from designated warehouses using provided Pick Lists, reporting any unacceptable items. You will strictly follow packing and labelling instructions to comply with transport regulations, assist with collating export shipments, and ensure accurate loading with complete paperwork. A solid grasp of third-party systems, including courier services and MSDS, is essential. Maintaining adequate consumable stock levels and understanding requisition procedures is required. Operating trained equipment and reporting any defects promptly are also key aspects of this role.

Responsibilities
* Pick UK and Export Shipments from the relevant warehouses using the Pick Lists provided. Reporting any items that do not appear acceptable.
* Follow all Packing and Labeling Instructions to the letter to align Transport Regulations.
* Participate in the collation of Export Shipments and ensure Shipments are loaded accurately and all paperwork is completed in.
* Have a good understanding of Third-Party Systems, such as Courier services, MSDS.
* Maintain good stock levels of all consumables required in our working area and understand the procedure for its requisitions.
* Operate any equipment for which we have completed the relevant training, and to ensure that all defective equipment and other relevant issues are reported to an Operations Team Leader or Manager.
* Maintain up to date records and paperwork necessary to the role.
* Ensure full compliance with site Security policies.
* Conform with the environmental and quality policy, procedures and with the requirements of the EMS and QMS and act appropriately regarding issues affecting impacts on the environment and conforming to product requirements.
* Conduct our day-to-day duties according to current procedures and appropriate Health and Safety precautions.
* Participate in Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing activities on site.
* Carry out any other duties within the employees'' skills and abilities whenever reasonably guided
Top Skills
- Attention to detail and for quality
- Basic IT literacy needed
- Written and verbal English on full working proficiency required
- Familiarity with Kaizen/5S would be a benefit
- Previous warehouse experience would be a benefit
- Experience with handling and packing chemicals would be beneficial
