This is working for a global manufacturing business and is required on a 6-month contract. The role benefits from hybrid working with you typically being on site 3 days per week. The working pattern means you finish work on a Friday at 1.30 pm giving you more of a weekend! Role and Responsibilities of the Material Controller Ensure component requirements are correct and communicated to suppliers in a timely, professional manner Understand and implement any MRP generated ''messages'' and amend supplier schedules accordingly Manage open order books to ensure appropriate order coverage and optimal inventory levels Ensure inventory levels of components under individual control are in alignment with departmental objectives Ensure external logistics costs are optimised using normal transportation methods Highlight future supply risks Provide monthly forecast of expected deliveries Proactively resolve invoice queries Identify and remedy excess inventory Candidate requirement...
