Team Manager – Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Manager to lead our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). The MASH is the front door for safeguarding referrals and plays a critical role in ensuring children and families receive the right support at the right time.
As Team Manager, you will provide clear leadership, professional oversight, and operational management of the MASH team. You’ll oversee the decision-making process, ensuring timely, proportionate, and effective responses to safeguarding concerns, while maintaining the highest standards of practice.
This is a fast-paced environment requiring strong leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to manage risk in partnership with multi-agency colleagues.
Key Responsibilities-
Lead, supervise, and support a multi-disciplinary social work team within the MASH.

Ensure high-quality, consistent threshold decision-making and safeguarding responses.

Oversee daily operations, prioritising referrals and managing workflow effectively.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with partner agencies, including police, health, and education.

Monitor performance, quality assurance, and compliance with statutory guidance.

Provide reflective supervision, staff development, and workforce planning.

Contribute to service improvement, innovation, and safeguarding strategy.

Qualified Social Worker with registration with Social Work England.

Proven management/supervisory experience in a safeguarding environment.

Strong knowledge of Children Act 1989/2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and threshold frameworks.

Ability to make timely, evidence-based decisions in high-pressure situations.
