Marketing Assistant

InstaStaff are currently recruiting for a Marketing Assistant to join a manufacturing company in Witton.
This role will be to cover maternity leave.
You will be required to assist in the successful implementation of marketing and communications plans and activities on time and within budget requirements. This is a hands-on role which requires working with all relevant teams to make sure that each project gets the resources and attention it needs to keep on/offline marketing and communications on track and ensure long-term UK and International business success.
Duties of the Marketing Assistant will be:
- Assist the Sales and Marketing Director in developing and delivering all on and offline marketing and communications to reflect the core values of the business.
- Take responsibility in ensuring that all material is to be delivered to the highest quality, accurate and kept up-to-date in line with changes in the business, new product information and relevant legislation changes
- Provide a knowledgeable and helpful service to all customers in delivering/directing sales and service enquiries via the website, e-mail and phone as required.
- Support the sales team by delivering key reports and ensuring customers receive relevant information and samples as required.
- Develop website and online promotion activity as required
- Maintain comprehensive catalogues of products both on and offline
- Write Press Releases (PR) & distribute PR as required
- Archive published PR
- Prepare and coordinate information prior to and in relation to exhibitions and events
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM) maintenance and database upkeep
- Support the sales team with CRM reports and passing sales leads
- Copywriting for promotional material, literature, packaging and website
- Design and briefing work as required for packaging, leaflets and marketing literature
- Proof reading as required
- Arranging Print as required
- Organising and carrying out direct mail activity as required
- Upkeep of Intranet and Communications Boards
- Carrying out marketing research as required
- To assist in any other general duties and business requirements as directed
- To take responsibility for and undertake professional training and development and where appropriate supporting and mentoring other members of staff
The ideal Marketing Assistant will have:
- An Honours Degree in Marketing/Communications or appropriate professional equivalent qualifications
- Experience within a similar role
- 1 years experience in a B2B role
The salary for the Marketing Assistant role will be £16.00 - £17.00 per hour depending on experience
The hours of work for the Marketing Assistant role will be 37.5 hours per week, these hours and days can be flexible.
