Artisan Recruitment are working with an established marine engineering company to recruit an experienced Mechanical Engineer / Lead / Foreman to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled marine engineering professional looking for a hands-on role with responsibility for leading mechanical operations, supporting teams on site, and delivering high-quality work for clients. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all mechanical operations under the direction of the Line Manager. Maintain a 24/7 response mindset when a client calls, respond promptly and professionally. Keep your mobile phone available at all reasonable times for operational requirements. Work overtime as required, including weekdays and weekends. Apply strong problem-solving skills and provide clear, practical solutions. Plan ahead for each job by identifying requirements, ordering materials where authorised, and keeping the Line Manager fully informed. Represent the mechanical department professionally and maintain a high standard of customer service at all times. Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment. Support welding tasks and assist other departments when required. Act as the Line Manager s right-hand support for all mechanical operations. Consistently go above and beyond in carrying out your duties and responsibilities. Communicate confidently and professionally with clients regarding completed work and ongoing tasks.
