We are seeking a Marine Hull Claims Associate to join our Global Risk Claims team. The successful candidate will have solid experience in Marine Hull claims handling and should be looking to take the next step in their career.Role Responsibilities

Handle a variety of claims and manage your own allocated portfolio of accounts.Portfolio will consist principally of open market wholesale and retail business.Primarily handle marine claims, predominantly Hull and Machinery and Marine Liability claims; experience is required.Manage claims from first advice to final settlement, including setting up first advice, processing and managing subsequent movements on Lockton internal claims systems / ECF / CLASS.Meet agreed Service Standards, volumes and performance levels in line with KPIs; handle claims proactively through physical and/or electronic broking, negotiations and management of the claims payment process. Excellent client service is essential.For key accounts, maintain the claims relationship, including regular calls, provision of claims reports and management of Insurers.Work closely with the Hull placing team and keep them apprised of key loss developments and trend identification.Report to the Team Leader and support/assist the Marine Claims Advocate on large, contentious or complex losses.Candidate Profile / Qualifications

Extensive experience in Marine Hull claims.Knowledge of relevant policy coverages and exclusions.Proficient in using London market systems (e.g., ECF, CLASS).Working towards ACII qualifications would be an advantage, but not essential.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, networking, influencing and negotiation skills.Good organisational skills.Excellent use of standard Microsoft applications.Additional Information
