Our partner, BAE Systems, is looking for experienced Electricians to join their growing team in Glasgow on a 12-month contract. As part of a specialist team, you will be working on the Type 26 City Class frigates, a new generation of ship being built by the navy. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled Electricians to be part of a high-profile Defence project.Key Responsibilities:Installing a range of cables including multi-core, single core, co-axle, and fibre opticSetting up electrical systems, such as junction boxes, fuse panels, consoles, transformers, and switchesSupporting activities including cable reeving, banding, and terminationsAligning and installing all electrical equipmentConducting routine inspections and preventative maintenanceTroubleshooting and resolving any electrical issuesCollaborating with other team members and departments to ensure projects are completed on timeProviding technical support and guidance as requiredJob Requirements:NQV Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject or time served Apprenticeship in a relevant tradeComfortable reading and working from technical electrical drawingsStrong understanding of electrical systems and componentsExcellent communication skills and attention to detailCommitted to meeting safety standards and regulationsEligibility for SC clearance due to the secure nature of this Defence projectWhy BAE Systems?BAE Systems provides some of the world''s most advanced and technology-led defence, aerospace, and ..... full job details .....
