Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Social Worker to join our Multi-Agency Partnership (MAP) team. As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in supporting vulnerable individuals and families, working collaboratively with a diverse range of agencies to ensure holistic care and protection. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex casework, ensuring best outcomes for service users.
- Collaborate with multi-agency partners including healthcare, education, and law enforcement to coordinate support and interventions.
- Provide supervision, mentoring, and professional development opportunities for junior social workers.
- Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and implement intervention strategies tailored to individual needs.
- Advocate for the rights and wellbeing of service users, ensuring their voices are heard.
- Maintain detailed, accurate case records and comply with all safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Contribute to service development by sharing insights and feedback based on frontline experience.
- Promote an inclusive atmosphere within the team and across partnerships, actively challenging discrimination in all forms.
Qualifications
- Professional qualification in Social Work (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or relevant regulatory body.
- Significant experience working as a Social Worker, preferably with experience in safeguarding and family support.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, guidelines, and best practices in social work.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in multi-agency settings.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Demonstrated understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles in social care.
Day-to-Day
- Conduct home visits and meet with clients to assess their needs and progress.
- Attend multi-agency meetings to coordinate care and share information.
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff through regular supervision sessions.
- Record and update case files in compliance with confidentiality and data protection standards.
- Respond promptly to safeguarding concerns, making referrals as necessary.
- Facilitate group meetings or workshops aimed at empowering service users.
- Participate in training sessions to keep up-to-date with latest practices and policies.
- Engage with community resources and advocate for equitable access to services.
