Manufacturing Tooling Engineer

Our client, an innovative company at the cutting edge of electric propulsion technology, requires a talented Manufacturing Tooling Engineer to join its dynamic team. This is a contract role outside IR35. Responsibilities: Provide tooling design support and DFM/A input Define tooling requirements alongside manufacturing method Design and validate production tooling and fixtures Produce complete tooling documentation and lifecycle controls Support prototype builds, tooling commissioning and process improvement Requirements: Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent qualifications and experience Significant and demonstrable experience in the design and development of production tooling within an aerospace or automotive environment Knowledge of manufacturing processes and their limitations Experience using CAD software: NX is preferred Experience of PFMEA and Control Plan development leading to robust process development Knowledge of equipment maintenance requirements and scheduling Experience in completing risk assessments and ergonomic assessments Ability to support and plan for future opportunities/volumes, while having the ability to manage day-to-day activities ..... full job details .....
