Our client, a key player in the defence and security sector, is currently seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join their team in Luton for an initial 12-month contract. This role will be carried out onsite and requires SC clearance, though candidates can start on BPSS. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative team working on the assembly of complex electro-mechanical devices.Key Responsibilities:Soldering to IPC standardsIdentifying and using hand tools with high accuracyWorking within a cleanroom environment under high power microscopesMaintaining awareness of FOD/ESD/"clean as you go" practicesSelf-inspecting work to mitigate quality defectsAdhering to written instructions and production process timesRaising quality notifications as necessaryCoordinating and controlling production equipment in-line with company processesCarrying out both repeat production and varied one-off tasksJob Requirements:Experience in manufacturing and electrical fittingSoldering to IPC standardsAbility to work accurately with hand toolsExperience working in a cleanroom environmentComplete understanding of FOD/ESD/"clean as you go" practicesStrong attention to detail and the ability to self-inspect workCapability to work from written instructions and drawingsFamiliarity with raising quality notificationsExperience coordinating and controlling production equipmentPreferred Skills:Current IPC certificates in J-Std-001, IPC 610Experience with microwave circuitryExperience working ..... full job details .....
