Manufacturing Technician Location: Loughborough Shifts: Various day shifts available Pay Rate: 13.20Packing all types of chemicals into multiple styles of containers and outer packaging, following procedures and understanding safety instructions. You will be expected to complete all the relevant training to the required standard within 12 months, to effectively move to the Manufacturing Technician II role. Role and work-time flexibility are important factors. Time is of the essence.Crucial Duties and Responsibilities (not necessarily in order of importance): Follow the details given in schedules (works orders) and understand the packaging requirements. Operate processing and packaging equipment. Equipment includes filling machines, labellers, and packing equipment. Both Manual and Automatic Fill all packaging Materials and styles and sizes of container, on different Equipment Use a wide range of measuring and weighing equipment. Weigh, measure and check raw materials to assure batches packed contain accurate materials and quantities. Responsible for checking that batch numbers and chemical code numbers given on the schedule match those on the labels and the product container Palletize completed packs and where appropriate strapping or stretch wrapping to allow safe transfer to the warehouse.
