Manufacturing Team Leader Location: Lower Dicker, East Sussex Contract: Permanent, Full-Time Are you an experienced leader with a strong background in machining and precision engineering? We are recruiting a Team Leader to oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring quality, delivery, and cost targets are consistently achieved. As a Team Leader, you will manage machining operations from raw material through to finished components, leading and motivating your team to deliver outstanding results. You''ll work closely with Purchasing, Planning, and Engineering to keep production on schedule, while driving continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Lead, motivate, and develop the machining cell team Oversee machining, finishing, and production activities to meet customer demand Uphold standard work, cellular principles, and visual management systems Drive continuous improvement, 5S, and problem-solving initiatives Ensure accurate AX transactions and production documentation Skills and Experience Required: Strong knowledge of machining and machine shop management Previous leadership and coaching experience Understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methods Ability to lead from the front with a hands-on approach Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to step into a leadership role within a forward-thinking engineering environment.
