Manufacturing Team Leader

OA are recruiting for a Manufacturing Team Leader for a well established company in HitchinThis is a hands-on leadership role where you will lead by example, support your team, and help drive continuous improvement across the value stream.Location: HitchinHours: Monday to Thursday 6am-3pm. Friday 6am-11amStarting Salary: £19phKey Responsibilities: Lead and motivate a team to achieve daily production targets.Ensure work is carried out safely and in line with company procedures and 5S standardsPlan and release work orders to meet demand.Monitor performance against the production plan and escalate issues where necessaryInvestigate problems, carry out root cause analysis, and implement corrective actionsSupport daily SQDCG updates and track key performance indicators.Maintain accurate stock levels and support inventory control through audits and PI systems.Schedule raw materials using Kanban systemsWork with Supply Chain to prevent shortages and delivery delaysSupport training and development of team members.Assist with absence management and disciplinary matters when required.Support engineering with prototype, refurbishment, and rework orders.
