Manufacturing Scientist

Talentmark are recruiting for a Manufacturing Scientist, on behalf of a medical diagnostic company.

This role will be based at their site in Gateshead and is a permanent role with Mon-Fri day time working hours.-

The Role

Reporting to the Production Manager, your main responsibility will be to assist in the manufacture, filling, labelling and packaging of components.


Responsibilities:

• To manufacture, fill, label and package-kits and components, adhering to quality standards.
• Assist in the manufacture of laboratory reagents such as antisera and buffers.
• Set up production runs and produce consistent and reliable products.
• Maintain daily stock control duties.
• Work to GMP guidelines.

Essential Skills:

• BSc within the life-sciences disciplines with relevant laboratory-based experience.
• Adherence to Health & Safety, COSHH guidelines, and to the requirements of ISO13485.
• Prior experience in a similar manufacturing environment would be desirable.
• A good understanding of electrophoresis.
