We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Manufacturing Operative to join a growing production team within an established manufacturer.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and would like to develop their skills within a busy manufacturing environment. Full training will be provided, although previous experience in manufacturing, production, warehousing or a similar environment would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting day-to-day production, stock control, order fulfilment and the preparation of finished products for customers.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

  • Operating production equipment in accordance with company procedures and manufacturer instructions.
  • Controlling stock using the First In, First Out (FIFO) method
  • Picking and packing products
  • Picking customer orders accurately
  • Shrink-wrapping finished products. Palletising boxes and preparing goods for dispatch
  • Changing product labels when required
  • Carrying out basic maintenance and reporting any issues with equipment
  • Following all health and safety procedures and maintaining a clean and organised working environment. Ensuring products and orders are prepared to a high standard
  • Supporting other areas of the business when required
  • Carrying out any other reasonable duties as necessary to support the operation

Please note: The role involves regular lifting and other physical, hands-on duties.

  • Able to follow instructions, processes and procedures accurately. Detail-oriented, particularly when picking, packing and handling stock
  • Comfortable working in a busy manufacturing environment. Physically able to undertake lifting and other manual tasks
  • A good verbal communicator
  • Committed to maintaining high standards of quality, safety and cleanliness
  • Willing to learn new skills and take responsibility for their own development
