Manufacturing operative

Masstemps are currently recruiting for a full time Factory Worker to join our manufacturing client based in the heart of Kidderminster. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting production processes, ensuring safety standards are maintained, and assisting with the efficient operation of the factory. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills within a dynamic industrial environment.

Duties

Operate and monitor machinery and equipment used in the manufacturing process.
Assist with the assembly, packaging, and inspection of products to meet quality standards.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Follow detailed instructions from supervisors to ensure production targets are met efficiently.
Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly to management.
Participate in regular safety training sessions and team meetings.
This role requires manual handling so all candidates will need to be physically fit.

Requirements

Previous experience in a factory or industrial setting is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to undertake manual handling tasks and stand for extended periods.
Basic literacy and numeracy skills for following instructions and recording data.
A proactive attitude towards health and safety practices.
Hours of work:

Monday - Thursday 7am-4pm , Fridays 7am - 11.45am 

Rate of pay: £12.71 per hour
