About the Role
Manufacturing Operative positions are available in Londonderry through Manpower UK, representing a client within the Springtown wafer fabrication sector. This temporary role involves operating machinery to produce recording heads for data storage items within a continuous 24/7 operation. You will join a shift cell of three to four colleagues, part of a larger team, tending equipment to meet production schedules and uphold rigorous quality, safety, and efficiency benchmarks. Duties include machine operation, supporting maintenance activities, and working a 12-hour rotating pattern. Prior manufacturing experience is advantageous, though full training is provided. The salary is negotiable based on experience. This contract offers immediate starts for suitable candidates.

Our client, a recognised leader in their sector, is seeking Manufacturing Specialists to join their team immediately.
Role Overview
As part of the Springtown Manufacturing team, you will work within a 24/7 wafer fabrication facility, operating machinery used to produce recording heads for data storage products. You will contribute to ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a range of machines within a high-tech production environment.
- Carry out machine-tending duties to maximise utilisation and support site production goals.
- Work within a small shift cell of 3-4 colleagues, forming part of a wider team of 30-40.
- Support maintenance activities across a 12-hour rotating shift pattern, including days, nights, and weekends.
- Adhere strictly to Health andamp; Safety regulations and always wear the required PPE.
- Meet departmental performance and quality targets.
- Contribute positively to team objectives and collaborative success.
- Identify and help resolve issues within the production process.
- Assist with improvements to procedures, processes, and techniques.
- Follow all documentation systems relevant to production.
- Maintain cleanroom standards and wafer-handling protocols.
- Use tools and equipment effectively and appropriately.
- Complete training as required.
