Process and Production (Manufacturing) Manager

for our client, an innovative UK-based manufacturing business specialising in sustainable battery production for electric vehicles. The successful candidate will work with technology partners, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure a smooth transition, high-yield production, and strategic procurement for Power Cell manufacturing.The

Process and Production Manager

will:Lead supplier engagement and procurement, including RFIs, RFQs, and tendering.Establish and optimise KPIs, including yield, throughput, and defect rates.Drive continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.Oversee equipment selection and integration to meet industry and production standards.Provide technical expertise in design for manufacturability (DFM) to support new product introduction (NPI).Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including supply chain, finance, and RandD, to align production planning with business goals.The

Process and Production Manager

will have:Bachelor''s degree in Engineering/Technology or related field (Master’s preferred).7+ years (5+ with Master’s) experience in manufacturing, automotive, or related sectors.Strong knowledge of manufacturing methodologies, process development, and high-volume production.Expertise in procurement strategies, cost analysis, and tendering processes.Hands-on experience with MES, SPC, and Six Sigma.Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.Experience in equipment purchase, installation, commissioning, and vendor selection.Seniority level
