Location: Hayes, Middlesex

An exciting Manufacturing Engineer job is available in Hayes, Middlesex for an experienced engineer with a background in manufacturing, production engineering and NPI. This job offers the opportunity to work across the full product lifecycle, from design and prototype through to production.

The Job

The Manufacturing Engineer will act as the link between design and manufacturing, developing robust processes and supporting the successful transition of new products into production.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting NPI, prototype builds and production transitions
• Creating manufacturing processes, flow diagrams and work instructions
• Supporting DFM and DFA reviews
• Designing jigs, fixtures and tooling
• Investigating manufacturing issues, non-conformances and engineering changes
• Working with design, programmes, operations and supply chain teams
• Supporting MRP, BOMs, material requirements and production planning
• Identifying process improvements and cost reduction opportunities
• Supporting manufacturing trials and process validation

Experience Needed

• Experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, Production Engineer or similar
• Experience within an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of NPI, DFM and DFA
• Experience with manufacturing processes and production documentation
• Experience with PCBs, power supplies, transformers, wire harnesses, machined components or 3D printed parts is desirable
• Knowledge of CAD and MRP systems
• Knowledge of IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, ESD and ISO 9001 is advantageous
• Experience with Siemens NX, Teamcenter or similar is beneficial
• HNC, Degree or equivalent engineering apprenticeship
• SC Clearance or the ability to obtain it
