Manufacturing Engineer

Job Role: Manufacturing EngineerLocation: LeicesterSalary: 45,000 - 58,000 per annum (depending on experience)Metalis are working with an Aerospace manufacturer who are looking for 2x Manufacturing Engineers to join their team.Job Duties:Attend Daily Operations meetings and resolve problems assigned to the ME functionUnderstand value stream constraints and participate in problem-solving to improve flowCreate, update, and maintain manufacturing documentation (e.g. set-up packs, drawings, work instructions, SOPs)Manage NPDI process milestones, completing all required ME tasks (e.g., cost estimates, stage drawings, manufacturing routes, approvals)Ensure tooling and fixtures are designed, manufactured, and available for safe and efficient productionUse engineering software to create and validate CNC programs that meet quality and cycle time requirementsSupport continuous improvement through LEAN/GEMBA events and generate ideas to enhance EHS, quality, cost and deliveryApply problem-solving methods to identify root causes and improve process and quality performanceParticipate in problem-solving peer reviews and training to strengthen organizational problem-solving cultureImplement or manage problem solutions, including working with suppliers/customers, testing technologies, and completing PFMEA activitiesEngage in internal and external audits and address gaps by implementing corrective actionsJob Requirements:5 years'' experience in the Aerospace/Automotive industry in a similar ..... full job details .....
