      <description>Location: Romsey | Salary: 380.00-380.00 Daily | Type: Contract | Our client, a specialist organisation within the defence and security sector, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a six-month contract based in Romsey. The role requires on-site attendance five days per week and will focus on manufacturing optimisation, Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement and the assembly and testing of electronic and electro-mechanical products.Key Responsibilities:Optimising manufacturing and supporting processes to improve productivity, cost, lead times and qualityLeading structured problem resolution using PSP, 8D, root cause analysis and DMAIC techniquesIdentifying and leading Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement projects, including communicating project progressRecognising and escalating process, delivery and project risks, issues and improvement opportunitiesPromoting a culture of continuous improvement and supporting the development of improvement frameworksImplementing PFMEA, 5S and Asset Care programmes across operational processesSupporting supply chain improvement initiatives and production teams with electronic and hardware assembly, testing and troubleshootingInvestigating product non-conformances and implementing effective correct...</description>
