Manufacturing Engineer

With continued investment in innovation and production capability, the Portadown site is expanding its engineering team to support increased demand and ongoing process improvement initiatives. Your new roleAs Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in driving operational excellence across the Portadown facility. You will support production teams, optimise manufacturing processes, and lead continuous improvement activities to enhance quality, efficiency, and throughput. You will be analysing current workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing improvements and supporting NPI activities, ensuring smooth transition from design to manufacture. You will be applying Lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and value stream mapping. Working closely with Quality to resolve issues and reduce defects and providing engineering support to production teams and troubleshooting equipment or process issues. What you''ll need to succeedIdeally you will have a Degree or HND in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline. Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment (aerospace, automotive, or precision engineering desirable). Strong understanding of Lean, CI, and modern manufacturing methods.
