The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to work in a highly regulated environment the role of the Manufacturing Engineer is to Identify, develop and implement innovative ways of working, appropriate with a new product introduction, support our production operations, deliver continuous improvement activities; optimise productivity, safety and reduce cost.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
- Mentor and guide the work of other engineers in making technical decisions. Operate as checker/peer reviewer for design team to ensure high quality of technical output.
- Deliver Manufacturing Engineering solutions in relation to defined requirements, across the full engineering lifecycle, to a high standard.
- Support prototype build activities with new processes and support resulting evaluative and non-analytical verification
- Demonstrable experience in product development and developing manufacturing capability and processes
- Design to Manufacture (D2M) experience of process, tooling or equipment including requirements capture and presenting at design reviews
- Delivering results and driving innovative changes
- Excellent interpersonal and team building skills capable of building good working relationships within the organisation.
You will have the following qualifications & experience
- Degree in STEM discipline
- FMEA experience
- Quality tool (SPC), TCE, NX, P6 (basic knowledge)
- Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) skills, including the use of Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect and IBM DOORS.
- Experience of working in a nuclear safety regulated environment
- Experience applying nuclear safety principles as per DSA03-DNSR• Experience with Teamcenter.
