Manufacturing Director

A sector leading manufacturer of complex engineered products to the Aerospace, Defence and High Technology sectors has a new vacancy for a Manufacturing Director and has appointed Vectis to manage the recruitment. With a global footprint, the company is significantly expanding its UK operations and this position will lead manufacturing operations, drive operational excellence and support the company s continued growth. The Role Develop a world class comprehensive manufacturing strategy to ensure long-term growth and sustainability. Drive operational excellence, lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Improve productivity, efficiency, cost control and overall equipment effectiveness. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational performance. Identify and initiate ways to reduce waste, streamline operations and apply lean manufacturing methodologies. Oversee staffing levels to balance productivity and cost efficiency. Provide Design for Manufacturing input during new product development. Manage the manufacturing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources. Lead, motivate and developing a high-performing management team. Optimise capacity, resources, processes and supply chain performance. Manage operational budgets, capital investment and performance against key KPIs.
