Manual Vertical Borers - Nights

Adept Resourcing are currently recruiting for a Manual Vertical Borer on behalf of our client, based in Greater Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist with experience operating large manual vertical boring machines to join a stable and growing company with a strong reputation for quality and craftsmanship.

• Operate manual vertical boring machines to produce medium to heavy components.

• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.

• Machine components to precise tolerances, ensuring accuracy and high-quality standards.

• Perform self-inspection on completed parts to ensure conformance.

• Work independently and efficiently, with minimal supervision.

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with company procedures.

• Contribute to team productivity and meet daily targets and deadlines.

• Proven experience operating manual vertical boring machines.

• Ability to interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings.

• Confident machining a range of materials, including ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

• Experience working with medium to heavy components.

• High attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.

• Strong work ethic and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.

• Formal engineering or machining qualifications.

• Previous experience in a subcontract or precision engineering environment.
