Manual Turner East Sussex Permanent, Full-Time Competitive Salary Are you an experienced Manual Turner looking for a long-term role where your engineering skills really matter? We re working with an established engineering business in East Sussex that is looking for a skilled Manual Turner to join its machine shop. You ll be producing small, high-precision metal components, working to tight tolerances and taking pride in getting things right first time. What you ll be doing Operating manual lathes and mills Machining small metal components to exact specifications Reading and working from engineering drawings Working to tight tolerances and high-quality finishes Using measuring equipment including verniers, micrometers and bore micrometers Carrying out basic inspection of completed components Completing relevant production documentation Maintaining high standards of quality and health and safety What we re looking for You ll ideally be a time-served Manual Turner with solid hands-on experience using manual lathes and mills. You ll need: Proven experience in manual turning and milling Strong ability to read and understand engineering drawings Experience working to high tolerances Good knowledge of precision measuring equipment Excellent attention to detail A strong focus on quality and safe working practices The ability to work both independently and as part of a team Previous experience working within a machine shop environment would be advantageous.
